Internship Developing Database
About the internship assignment
Database Metrics and Reference Frameworks.
Royal Dahlman designs customer-specific installations for filtration and separation. In addition to designing, building, and delivering complete installations to customer specifications and applicable regulations, we observe that within our offering, many costs and prices fall within manageable ranges, as a budget is always an estimate.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ratios, such as labor hours per kilogram
- Markup factors; locations, technical guidelines, customer types, etc.
- To enable quick but accurate budgeting without always consulting our suppliers, there is an internship assignment to support Royal Dahlman in designing and developing a database. The database should help us leverage the knowledge present within our company: project history, requested quotations, and market knowledge. We aim to translate this data into metrics and unit prices, which can be sliced across various dimensions, for example:
- Ratios, such as labor hours per kilogram
- Markup factors; locations, technical guidelines, customer types, etc.
- The student will write a recommendation on how this database should be designed for use within defined dimensions. The possibilities and limitations of various methodologies will be explored and discussed.
If time permits, the assignment can be expanded to include software or tools that support the methodology.
Requirements:
- You are an HBO student Technical Business Administration.
- You are accurate and can work independently.
- You have a proactive attitude and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages.
